Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) – Iran’s largest steel exporter has invited tender for export of 30,000 MT billet for December shipment.
The steel billet offered is of size 130*130 mm/or150*150 mm and of grade 3 SP, 5 SP (ASTM A 36, SS 400 ASTM A615 Gr 40, ASTM A615 Gr 60). Bid submission due date for the same is 20 Oct’17 at 18:00 hrs as per Iranian local time.
As per market sources, Iran billet export offers are hovering around USD 480-485/MT, FoB Iran. Iran’s ESCO is heard to have finalised export shipment of 15,000 MT billets at USD 480/MT, FoB basis and the cargo is likely to be shipped to GCC countries.
Iran billet market had shown a significant improvement in starting of the week, the market went up by USD 40 to USD 45 reached USD 490-495/MT, mainly because of currency depreciationt But again the market witnessed a downfall of USD 30 yesterday. The average billet price was around USD 460-462/MT inclusive of VAT.
KSC has also issued export tender for 40,000 MT slab for end November or early December shipment.
The prime concast steel slab offered is of grade 88400 and/or SAE 1008 and 5235. Bid submission due date for the same is 20 Oct”l7 at 18:00 hrs as per Iranian local time.
Iran bulk billet export witnessed a rise of 10% M-o-M, major destination for Iranian billet during the period were UAE, Oman and Indonesia.
The country exported 273,500 MT bulk Billet in Sep’17 against 247,500 MT bulk Billet exports in Aug’l7. The rise of 10% M-o-M has seen in its exports in Sep’17 against bulk Billet exported in Aug’17.
