Keyvan Jafari Tehrani, expert of mining and mineral industries international markets talked to Madan News about the metal bulletin 6th world pellet and DRI congress in Dubai, “The congress will held on the final week of April 2018. First and second events held in Abodahbi and the other three events held in Dubai. At first, the event held because of the Al Ghurair Steel company which was the sponsor in Abudahbi but it transferred to Dubai because of some restrictions.
“The event known as one of the best in steel section and most of countries from all over the world, especially the Middle East and North Africa, are attending the event. In addition, active companies from China, Europe and even Africa are participating and most of the companies are producers or customers from the MENA region and India.” He added.
“The event is about the latest news, predictions and information about the consuming, producing, requesting and other conditions of pellet and DRI markets. Also, the event is providing a situation for vendors to talk to customers face to face because these kinds of conferences are good places for marketing. This event has always been good at marketing during the past years.” He continued. “About 150 to 200 people are present in the main hall and 50 to 100 people are in different side halls. The number of attendance is good and the conference is among specialized events. In my opinion the quality of this event is acceptable.”
“This year, we don’t have a single and independent Iranian speaker and 3 representatives are present at the conference to answer questions. The panel will held on April 26, 2018 with the title of “Iran, the biggest DRI producer”. In addition, in some parts of the conference, they would analyze the market of two mega producers of DRI in 2025. Also, there would be talks about Iran’s place in producing and exporting DRI and pellet’s export complications and the possibility of its cancelation in 1397.” The speaker of 5 consecutive Dubai events told.
The mentioned panel is holding with the presence of Bahram Shakouri, president of mining and mineral industries commission at Iran’s chamber of commerce, Mohammad Reza Niko Sokhan, deputy commercial at IRITEC and Keyvan Jafari Tehrani, an expert of mining and mineral industries.
