China: Baosteel Hike Flat Steel Prices for September’17

China’s major steel giant Baosteel has raised flat steel prices for September owing to bullish market sentiments prevailing in the domestic market.

Company has increased the HRC prices significantly by RMB 350(USD 52/MT), Plate prices by RMB 400 (USD 60/MT) and CRC prices by RMB 200/MT (USD 30/MT)

The effective rates of HRC Q235 5.5mm in eastern China are assessed to RMB 4,682/MT equivalent to USD 703/MT.Whereas Q235,1420mm plate prices are heard in the range of RMB 3,600/MT equivalent to (USD 539/MT). Prices are on Ex-work basis excluding VAT.

However,CRC SPCC 1.0mm prices are hovering in the range of RMB 4,736/MT (USD 709/MT). Prices are on Ex-work basis excluding WAT.

Whereas prices of 1.0mm HDG produced in Baoshan and Dongshan moved up by RMB 200 (USD 30/MT) and are assessed in the range of RMB 5,547-5,697/MT equivalent to (USD 830852/MT). All prices are on Ex-work basis excluding VAT.

Besides this other major mills like Wugang and Angang have also announced the sharp increase in flat steel prices for September deliveries.
