Billet exports from the Brazil grew around 30,000 MT (6%) M-O-M in July 2017. The nation is one of the largest exporter from South America for Semis products like Billet & Pig iron.
As per the data released by the Brazilian Customs, the country has exported around 0.56 MnT billet during July 17 against 0.53MnT in June’17.
Coming to total exports in CY2017 (Jan-July), the data shows about 4.25 MnT billet exports, surged by 22.12% against 3.48 MnT in the same preceding CY2016.
Further, on yearly calculation the billet exports were reported around 6.25 MnT in CY2016 & at 6.9 MnT in CY2O15.
With rising steel demand globally, the crude steel production of country was marked at 31.275 MnT in 2016.
Meanwhile, in 2017 (Jan’17Jun’17) the figure of crude steel production Stood at 16.723 MnT.
